Happy New Year
Dec. 31st, 2011 09:11 pmI need to figure out my resolutions for 2012.
Last year's resolution recap:
1. Don't get bogged down by clutter - Yeah, uhhh.. my house looks like a baby blew up in it.. on top of our normal clutter. It's one of those one step forward and three steps back type of deal (yes, I know what the actual saying is, this is just how it compares to our house).
2. Bake more bread - well, I didn't bake less bread but I didn't exactly bake a lot of bread.
3. Enjoy every minute even when it sucks - I think I did pretty well with this one. I thought about this one a lot lately and honestly, once we started actively supplementing Ziva with formula and we weren't relying on my non-existant supply to feed her.. it was like a weight was lifted. That first week or so, I honestly was scared that we ruined our lives. Once Ziva was actually not starving and became her happy satiated self, it was amazing. I have enjoyed every moment since then. Even when she's screaming her head off for no reason whatsoever and I want to get frustrated and annoyed, I take a step back, take a breath, and remember that she will only be this little and this helpless once. She's already crawling and getting around - by this time "next year", she's going to be driving and moving out and marrying the person of her dreams and having her own kids. It's so freaking crazy.
I think 2012's resolutions should include something about getting rid of crap/stop buying as much crap, and keep on enjoying things. I'll have to think of "official" ones though.
Happy New Year!!
