Jan. 2nd, 2012

Okay, I have a few resolutions for 2012:
  1. Enjoy it - don't blink or you'll miss it
  2. Get more organized and (hopefully) less cluttered
  3. Get healthier
  4. Do 52 new things
I've already made a spreadsheet of everything that is in my freezers (yes, I'm a dork).  Tomorrow I'm going to work on the pantry and cabinets.  My goal for January (and then however long is possible after that) is to not go food shopping.  If needed, I'll pick up fresh dairy and fruits/veggies.  But, honestly, there's so much frozen (and probably canned) vegetables currently in our house that I think we'll be fine.  We just might want some fruit once we are out of our current stuff.  After January, I want to just stick to the perimeter of the grocery store - vegetables, meats, dairy - avoid the cans/boxes/stuff that takes up so much space because there's a ton there and it'll take us months to make a dent.

The 52 new things I did a few years ago and it was fun.  It can be 5 new things in one week and then nothing for a month or 1 a week.  I like flexible.  I figure with a baby this will either be really easy or really hard.

Today, we did 1 new thing already:
1. Dropped the baby off at daycare and just enjoyed a date day just Mark and me - guiltfree.
