My baby girl is sick.  I don't really know why/how/what's wrong.  She's had diarrhea off and on for about a week.  When it's not flat out diarrhea, there's just a ton of poop.  She's been really finicky with eating (except at daycare).  Instead of her normal 7oz bottles, we're lucky if she takes 4oz before throwing it across the room.  Oh, and she started vomiting.  Right into my hand Tuesday morning.  It's crazy how I've always heard people say "when you're a mom your kid will throw up in your hand".  I always said "never me". Well, I was holding her, she was gagging, up came the vomit, instinctively out went my hand to catch it.

The kicker with all this?  She's acting completely normal.  Okay, today she was cranky/clingy at daycare and at home.

I took her to the doctor yesterday.  He said she has a cold.  I don't really even understand this considering her nose isn't stuffy and she's not coughing or sneezing- but I guess he's the dr?  If he said "stomach bug" I'd take that.  Apparently, there is some sort of bug going around so that would make much more sense.  He said she's throwing up because her tummy hurts and is full of mucus which is why she isn't digesting things (into my hand, she threw up a chunk of sweet potato at 7:30am when she had eaten it at 1pm the day prior).

She threw up again last night.  She pooped a whole bunch at daycare today (was on her third outfit when I picked her up) so she had to have been peeing.. but since then, not much pee at all.  We just tried some pedialyte (even tho the doctor said not to worry and just give her a few days since she's still happy and not looking/acting dehydrated).  She wasn't a fan.  She did end up getting down probably an ounce or two of that.  She was eating her bottles at daycare during the week - just not much at home.  Today at daycare she ate a total of 9 oz from 3 bottles (I send her with 3 7oz bottles and she normally only eats 2 there so I think they were just trying more knowing she's not drinking much at home) - but downed half a banana, some squash, and sweet potatoes.  So I have no idea what to make of it or how she ate that much solid (not in one meal)

Tonight, Mark was putting her to bed and I hear him yelling for me.  I go upstairs and he's covered in vomit.  It was just gross.  She was cranky and crying but as soon as she was out of the gross clothes she was laughing and waving and smiling and crawling all over Mark.  So, what the heck.

I'm on my third load of laundry since Friday.. all baby laundry.  I now know why people say you do so much more laundry when you have a kid.  Usually, I only need to do her laundry when she runs out of clean pajamas.  Now, I don't want to let pee/poop/vomit sit on clothing/sheets/towels so I do another load of laundry.
