Dec. 6th, 2011 08:08 amI'm trying really hard not to comment on facebook so I'm just going to post this here.
This girl from high school just got a new puppy. Okay, big deal, right? She has a 4 yr boy and another that was born 2 weeks after Ziva.
So, about 2 years ago she got a puppy. She loved that puppy oh so much. That is, until he grew into a full sized dog. And he wasnt trained. He peed all over the house and "needed too much attention" and was too big for their small basement apartment. I'm pretty sure she was newly pregnant when they got rid of it. I know they had to dog for less than a year so she might've gotten rid of him before she was pregnant. I'm pretty sure she just brought the giant untrained dog to the pound. So, in all actuality, he was probably put to sleep which makes me incredibly sad.
What makes me sadder, and quite angry: Last night, she brought home a new puppy for the kids. SERIOUSLY?!? You couldn't handle a dog with one kid - WHY are you getting another? I don't care if the 4 yr old "wanted" a puppy. He's 4 - he'd probably also ask for a spaceship and a dinosaur which you will not be buying him. And, of course, it's another store bought puppy.
I know this shouldn't upset/annoy me because it doesn't really effect me but it does. When she gets bored of this living breathing animal, she's just going to toss it aside. For all the times I bitch about my cats and dog, I'd never get rid of them. Sure, if they hurt my child, that is a different story. But, if they were misbehaving (i.e. peeing on the floor) due to my laziness in life/in training.. that's my own damn fault. I adopted those boogers, I said I'd take care of them and I will for their life.. because that's what we all signed on for.
Okay, I'm done with this morning's rant.
