I think my favorite part about Mark being away* (wow, that sounds terrible) is soup. Mark is one of those people who won't eat soup as a meal for some reason. To him, soup is just a side dish. For me, I like anything with spoons - soup, ice cream, cereal - and would eat them as meals every day if I could.

I made the artichoke leek soup hillary told me to make. I'm glad I listened. I think she's going to be my go to for soup recipes.


I was really tempted to make the crockpot chicken recipe that dave/tiffany gave me but then I figured Mark would be all pouty that I did it without him. So I guess I'll make that during the week since I have all the ingredients sitting on the counter now waiting to go for weeks.

So yeah, I had leftover soup for breakfast.



*don't get me wrong, I love living with Mark. I'm just very much a loner. I was never one of those people worried about what I was going to do by myself - I very much look forward to just being alone to do my own thing. I'm weird and a loser, I know.

and i know what you mean. steve is the best roommate ever and i obviously love living with him but i really, really love when i get to be alone in my apartment.
