Dec. 3rd, 2011 11:42 amI can't believe a year ago there was a baby inside of me the size of like a peach. I hadn't even told work and the almighty facebook yet. Now, there's this little human laying sprawled across my belly passed out sleeping. She's a real live person and everything. Huge personality - loves to smile and laugh and get tickled. She yells at the dog if he wakes her from a nap. She finds my face in a crowd and saves the biggest smiles just for me.
Ziva loves to roll around and was working on an army type crawl last night (I kindly asked her to stop). She sits but not for long periods - I think it's a lack of confidence and lack of butt thing. She has a bit of a tooth now so she thinks she's pretty awesome.
She loves to play with food and has even spoonfed herself some things - spoons are one of her favorite toys. She mainly likes shoving things in her mouth and (according to diaper output) has actually managed to swallow some things. So far, she's tried yellow squash, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potato, winter squash, pizza crust, guacamole, carrots, and rigatoni. She's only managed to swallow the sweet potato, guacamole, and some winter squash (since that one was actually pureed and it is adorable watching her spoonfeed herself). She really does love to taste/suck on food and then throw it to the dog, Cooper REALLY likes this set up and it's fine by me because it's less cleaning.
