40 weeks 1 day - 2 weeks to go.
Jun. 5th, 2011 12:30 pmI'm a day "overdue". Big deal. I'm soooo sick of everyone telling me "foolproof" ways of getting the baby out.
Whatever meal you ate last did NOT cause you to go into labor. I don't care if it was pineapple, or feta cheese, or chicken fried rice, or a bologna sandwich. It just so happened to be your last meal and the baby/your body decided it was time. I will not eat whatever you ate - just to spite you. I would eat a cupcake just because a cupcake sounds tasty. That's as far as I'll go.
I'm not going to ingest or insert anything that's going to cause intestinal distress in the hopes of starting contractions. That doesn't sound fun or enjoyable at all. And the last thing I want during my 90 hour labor is to be dehydrated from shitting out my brains.
I'm not going to go on a bumpy car ride because that's just stupid.
Walking and sex actually have reasons for working - I can do that.
No, I will not use a breast pump "In order to pump milk out for the baby because then if your milk is in the baby will pop out" WHAT?! There is no milk until AFTER the baby this is just ridiculous on so many levels. I can understand using a breast pump but you lost me with your reasoning and now I just think you're silly.
Only 2 more weeks to go :)
