Those muffins from last week were fantastic. Mark wanted me to make more this week and I probably will tomorrow. We have some leftover baked oatmeal for breakfast for tomorrow. I don't know why i don't count the baked oatmeal on here but it doesn't seem like a baked good to me.
Today I went all out and made bread completely from scratch. Yeast always scares me, I just assume I'm going to fuck it up if it involves yeast. So I avoid anything calling for yeast. I've never actually made a recipe that called for it. until today. I kneaded, I rose, I waited. I even talked my loaf into being happy while I was cooking the rest of dinner ( chicken marsala over spaghetti with broccoli on the side). It probably could've used another minute or two in the oven when all was said and done.. or just letting it cool more than 13 seconds before cutting into it.
But it smelled sooo good. and the rest of dinner was ready. So we ate it.. and it was tasty. yum yum yum. If I weren't so stuffed, I'd have another slice now.
